Sept. 2011: "D! Magazine" selected L.D.C. on their short list of best dance studios in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex!! We're thrilled and so thankful for the acknowledgement!
June 8th 2011: Competition Season was very successful and a lot of fun! Recitals are next week and then summer Camps and classes start... Nothings seems to slow down around here!! :-) Our Junior Diamond Dancers continue to entertain the crowds all summer at the Frisco RoughRiders games at Dr Pepper Ball Park ---in fact, we have a game this Friday night! We wish all our dancers the best this summer!
Jan. 13th 2011: LDC voted 2nd year in a row as WFAA's A-List (Top Five Dance Studios in Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex)! Thank you!!
Congratulations to our Miss Brittany Evans... Voted 2011 Dallas Cowboys ProBowl Cheerleader!! This is the 2nd year in a row a member of our LDC teaching staff has been the DCC's choice!! She'll be heading to Hawaii soon to represent Dallas! Liz Rock will be back in the office next week with Baby Willa in tow! Emily Scoville & husband Billy will be joining the ranks of "Parents" this July! Miss Megan Fox became Mrs. Megan Holder last month! Congrats to she and her handsome husband Jacob!
Our Junior Hip Hop Companies performed at Cowboys Stadium during the 2011 season in the AT&T Plaza as the "Cowboys Cuties"! ---Check out the Cowboys' video on our Video page. Our Mini Dance Company was awarded 2nd Place and selected "Best of Show" nominee at November's Adrenaline Dance Convention and Competition; Junior Company member, JoJo Bennett was awarded a scholarship in December at the NUVO Convention! All six LDC Dance Companies performed at Six Flags' Holiday in the Park in December!
Sept. 13th 2010: LDC was honored with the invitation to have our Junior Companies perform at the Jonas Brothers' "Road Dogs" Baseball Game! The only dance team there, this was a great way to start the season for these young Dancers!!
Aug 18th 2010: Fall classes are in full swing; Junior Diamond Dancers' season winds down this month as our 2010-2011 Dance Companies work on brand new choreography for the season! We've added three new (and fabulous) dance teachers to our team this month, Meagan, Brittany & Tori: Welcome! Liz has been helping us hold the fort down in the office since June and has been a really great addition to our LDC family! Our students are beautiful and the year ahead is exciting!!!
July 29th 2010: Six week summer session winding down (two weeks until fall session starts)... This fall we'll be welcoming two more amazing dancers to our staff! Our students are going to LOVE Brittany and Meagan! --Meagan has been teaching here all summer and has been enchanting the students with her beautiful technique!! She'll be working a lot with our Petites and Minis this Fall!
June 12th 2010: Recital 2010 Complete! The dancers were wonderful & the staff was truly unbelievable behind the scenes! ---Studio "C" expansion started yesterday! Always growing, growing, growing!
June 2nd 2010: Our final week of classes!! Can that really be true? Recital is just ten days away... 8 days if you count dress rehearsal (and we do)!!! Summer classes & Camps start Monday June 21st!
May 10th 2010: Our first season of competitions was very exciting as we earned top scores, elite platinum awards, and special awards from judges at each Competition we attended!! Now we turn our attention to recital details and summer classes!
April 18th 2010: Costumes are being distributed as they arrive! Judging from all the class costumes, this year's recitals will be very vibrant and colorful! Summer registration began Monday April 12th and several camps have already filled.
April 02 2010: Our Junior Diamond Dancers make their 2010 debut this weekend at the Rangers Game!! Our companies all struck gold in their Competition debuts last week!! Miss Megan and Miss Justine will be headed to the Far East (China) this month with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!!
Feb. 04 2010: Cheers for our newly selected Junior Diamond Dancers! Rehearsals begin this week and in just 8 weeks you'll be performing for thousands of baseball fans at the Texas Rangers game!
Jan. 19th 2010: Congratulations to Miss Justine!! Selected as the 2010 ProBowl Cheerleader. She's headed to Miami next week to represent the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!! Also, Frisco RoughRiders Junior Diamond Dancers auditions at LDC this Saturday 1-2:30pm for LDC students ages 8-12!
Jan. 15th 2010: Junior Diamond Dancers auditions next weekend! What an amazing performance opportunity to work with professionals while performing for thousands of fans all summer! Ages 8-12 Sat. Jan. 23rd 1-2:30pm at LDC.
Jan. 7th 2010: The "barre" has been raised! Lots going on... You can actually feel the excitement in the air at LDC this week!
Dec. 31st 2009: The final update for 2009!!! We welcome Anna Olvera and Debra Bale to our LDC Staff for the Winter/Spring term! Also, we wish Christina Parker congratulations as she gets married next week!! We will see everyone next week at the studio!
Nov. 30th 2009: Just three weeks left until Winter Break! What that means... completing costume measurements, Holiday treats tucked into classes, Auto-decal distribution... Plus our young "Show Group" dancers will venture out to their first convention!
Nov. 2nd 2009: New L.D.C. "Uggs" style Boots & Auto Decals are available (see front office)!! These are cute so don't miss out!!
Oct. 27th 2009: Our Halloween party Saturday was lots of fun & this week's Halloween Costume week has been such a treat!! The festive music, choreography, and Halloween inspired combinations & choreography have made it a fun week!!
Sept. 14th 2009: Yesterday was a full day for LDC... The staff had our first photo shoot with the super-talented Wade Livingston in his very cool studio near Fair park! Next everybody scattered in various directions... some off to teach master dance classes, and some back to LDC to work on choreography with our brand new Hip Hop dance team.
Sept. 5th 2009: We're missing LDC favorite, Emily Matkin Scoville as she works on some pretty impressive dance projects this week!! More on that exciting news soon!! ---Plans for adding studio #4 are quickly in the works... It's incredible how quickly these guys can make it happen... good thing too... we need it "yesterday"!!
Sept. 4th 2009: The first of our Master teachers taught the Ballet L2-3 classes this evening. Gracious, gorgeous and a true professional, Debra Bale will be a welcome guest to LDC this year!
Aug. 17th 2009: Fall classes begin and what a great start! More space, additional amazing dance professionals on staff, the air is buzzing with excitement! ---Kudos to Justine... 5th year DCC & cheers to Taylor & Brooke with the brand new Cowboys Rhythm & Blue Dancers!!
Aug. 15th 2009: This summer the studios were filled with students and choreographers while we still managed to add a 3rd studio, enlarge our rear studio and add additional office space to keep up with our growing LDC family!
