Brand new 4-5 tap/ballet class at 3:30 on Wednesdays and a brand new 2 & 1/2yr-3yr old T/B/CM Class Wednesdays 11:30am! **************************************
Children's Preschool Division ages 2 & ½ -5 years

3-4 yrs. Tap/Ballet/Creative Movement* (students must be 2.5 years old by Aug. 31st 2010)

Designed to begin the true joy of dance for the littlest dancers (boys and girls), this one-hour weekly class consists of a combination of dance genres taught during each class. The basics are taught in tap and ballet. *Our unique Creative Movement program combines storytelling and dance. Children explore the power of books as they become the characters leaping off the page, through dance movement, music and narrative. Children are encouraged to use imagination and explore musicality through creative movement. 8-12 students per class. One recital dance and costume.

4-5 yrs. Tap/Ballet (students must be 4 by Oct. 31st 2010

This one-hour weekly class continues to work on tap and ballet basic technique for the preschool aged dancer (boys and girls). These students will learn technique both at the barre and center floor. Musicality and style are developed further in this class. 10-12 students per class. One recital dance and costume.

Children's Elementary Division Ages 5 & ½- 8 & ½ years

5 & 1/2 -7 yrs. Tap/Ballet/Jazz Combination (kindergarteners & 1st graders)
This hour and a half weekly class continues to develop ballet and tap technique at the barre and center floor. Jazz is taught at this level as well. Dancers (boys and girls) will explore traditional jazz, lyrical jazz and hip-hop styles. 13-15 students per class. Two recital dances and costumes.

This hour and a half weekly class continues to develop ballet and tap technique at the barre and center floor. Jazz is taught at this level as well. Dancers (boys and girls) will explore traditional jazz, lyrical jazz and hip-hop styles. 13-15 students per class. Two recital dances and costumes.

6 yrs. – 8 ½ yrs. Beginning Hip-Hop (kindergarteners-3rd graders)
This one-hour, beginning hip-hop class focuses on popular “street” dance. Building strength & learning style while studying hip, new choreography will challenge the young dancers in an exciting, high-energy, child-friendly atmosphere. 12-16 students per class. One recital dance and costume.

6 – 8 & ½ yrs. Beg. Jazz
(kindergarteners-3rd graders) This one-hour beginning/intermediate class focuses on jazz technique. Technique and style will be taught through progressions and center floor combinations. Students will explore traditional jazz and lyrical/contemporary jazz styles. One recital dance and costume.

  • Tues. 6:30-7:30pm

    6 – 8 & ½ yrs. Beg. Ballet/Lyrical (kindergarteners-3rd graders)
    This one-hour ballet/lyrical class focuses on technique, strength and aesthetics. Barre and Center-floor combinations will challenge the young dancers while instilling grace and coordination. Lyrical style interprets the music in an emotionally expressive way. Increasingly popular in the last few decades, lyrical dance is commonly danced to music of any style, including classical, pop, or rock. One recital dance and costume.

 Musical Theatre/Broadway Dance
Musical Theatre I Ages 6-8 & ½ years (kindergarteners-3rd graders)
This fun and creative one hour class fuses musicality, dance and theatre resulting in building confidence and stronger stage presence. One recital dance and costume.

Older Children and Teen Division Ages approx. 9 yrs. and up

Ballet L-I & II Beg.-Intermediate Ballet

This one-hour ballet class focuses on technique, strength and aesthetics. Barre and Center-floor combinations will challenge the dancers while instilling grace and coordination. One recital dance and costume.

 Ballet L-II & III Advanced-Intermediate

This one-hour & 15 minute ballet class focuses on technique, strength and aesthetics. Barre and Center-floor combinations will challenge the dancers preparing them for performance and study at nationally recognized dance institutions. Students must be enrolled in the Ballet III class twice a week.  By invitation. One recital dance and costume.

Pointe/Variations
Pointe technique will be the focus. Solo variation choreography will also be taught. By invitation. One recital dance and costume.

Lyrical L-II-III Intermediate Lyrical
This one hour intermediate class focuses on the fusion of ballet and jazz styles. Lyrical interprets the music in an emotionally expressive way. Increasingly popular in the last few decades, lyrical dance is commonly danced to music of any style, including hip-hop, rock, swing, pop, or classical. By invitation. One recital dance and costume.

This up-beat ½ -hour beginning class focuses on tap technique. Technique and style will be taught through barre, progressions and center floor combinations. One recital dance and costume.

This up-beat ½ -hour intermediate class focuses on tap technique. Technique and style will be taught through barre, progressions and center floor combinations. By invitation. One recital dance and costume.
