Dress Code Fall 2010

4-5 years tap/ballet: solid light blue leotard (any style); no skirts (attached or unattached); pink tights; pink leather ballet slippers; black patent tap shoes with tap buttons (ribbon ties removed); Boys: solid white t’ shirt, black shorts or black pants, black or white leather ballet slippers, black tap shoes

5 & ½-7 years tap/ballet/jazz: solid red leotard (any style); no skirts (attached or unattached); pink tights; pink leather ballet slippers; black patent tap shoes with tap buttons (ribbon ties removed); tan slip-on jazz shoes; black dance pants or black "boy" shorts for jazz; Boys: solid white t’ shirt, black shorts or black pants, black or white leather ballet slippers, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes (boys)

7-8 & ½ years tap/ballet/jazz: solid hunter-green leotard (any style); no skirts (attached or unattached); pink tights; pink leather ballet slippers; black patent tap shoes with tap buttons (ribbon ties removed); tan slip-on jazz shoes; black dance pants or black "boy" shorts for jazz; Boys: solid white t’ shirt, black shorts or black pants, black or white leather ballet slippers, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes (boys)

6-8 yrs. One hour Beg. Ballet/Lyrical: Solid-color leotard, tan tights, tan slip-on jazz shoe, "Footundeez" or lyrical shoe; You may have to purchase new "lyrical" shoes for recital; Boys: solid color t’ shirt, black shorts or black pants, black jazz shoes (boys)

6-8 yrs. One hour Beg. Hip Hop Black Dance sneakers (black sneakers dedicated to being used in studio only), L.D.C. Tank top or tee shirt, black dance pants (any style)

6-8 yrs. One hour Beg. Jazz Solid-color leotard, tan tights, tan slip-on jazz shoes; black dance pants or black "boy shorts"

9 and up Ballet L1, L2 & L3: Black leotard any style; pink tights; optional ballet skirt; pink ballet slippers leather (or canvas for 9 years and up); Pointe shoes for Pointe class (approved by Pointe instructor); Boys: solid white t’ shirt, black shorts or black sweatpants, black or white leather ballet slippers with socks

9 and up Tap (9 years and up): Solid-color leotard, tan tights, black dance pants or black "boy shorts", black "jazz-tap" shoes

9 and up One Hour Jazz: Solid-color leotard, tan tights, tan slip-on jazz shoes; black dance pants or black "boy shorts"

9 and up One Hour Lyrical: Solid-color leotard, tan tights, optional skirt, tan slip-on jazz shoe, "Footundeez" or lyrical shoe; You may have to purchase new "lyrical" shoes for recital

9 and up One Hour Hip Hop: Black Dance sneakers (black sneakers dedicated to being used in studio only), L.D.C. Tank top or tee shirt, black dance pants (any style)

One Hour Broadway Dance: Solid-color leotard, tan tights, tan slip-on jazz shoes; black dance pants or black "boy shorts"

There is a “free dress week” in most months in which the dancers can wear their choice appropriate dance wear including leotard and skirts for ballet, and their own choice of colors/styles for jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, etc… We do ask that tutus continue to remain out of the class rooms during free dress weeks (this includes skirts that are made of several layers of tulle or tutu-netting).
